This customer has a very old, stone walled cottage with very poor insulation in it. As a result the costing of heating the house with oil has been astronomical. |

We recommended that the owner should install a 15kW boiler, however, they wanted to be able to boost the boiler during very cold periods and instead opted for the ETA PE25 wood pellet boiler.
The boiler is located in a small outbuilding and supplies weather compensated heating through a single heating circuit. |

The boiler room was too small to house a pellet silo, so it was decided to construct an outdoor silo instead.
The silo is a twin skinned timber consrtuction with a water proof membrane installed between the outer timber layer and the silo structure. The roof has a water proof membrane and is covered with mineral tar felt on the outside. The auger terminal and filling points are inside the door of the silo. The silo can hold 3.5 tonnes of wood pellets. |
