This solar system has been mounted on the ground due to lack of roof space. Here you see 6 Evergreen Energy AF21 solar panels mounted on a concrete base and supported at 45° by aluminium brackets.

The solar panels are connected to a 1650L buffer that is located in a detached garage located at the back of the house. The main heating source for the house is an ETA SH30 Wood Gasification Boiler. (also located in the garage), and during the Summer the log boiler never requires lighting while during sunny spells in the Spring and Autumn the solar panels contribute greatly to the heating of the building.
