Straw, district heating plants - output up to 10 MW

Product development at LIN-KA has resulted in the development of the fully automatic straw firing system for large square bales

The system is supplied with fuel by means of an automatically controlled crane or conveyor,
this system can be delivered in a one or two story configuration. When the fireproof stoker room has received a big bale from the feeding conveyor the bale drawer will be close and waiting be in stoking position immediately in front of the combustion chamber door.

When the automatic controls have checked all of the safety precautions, a signal is given to allow the bale enter the stoker. The hydraulically operated fire-door opens, and in a matter of seconds the bale is placed into the pre-combustion chamber, the blower starts and combustion of the bale starts to take place.

The stoked bale is now in the gasification and combustion phase in the pre-combustion chamber.
During this phase the combustion air is applied as through the primary and secondary air ports on the boiler.

The pre-combustion chamber and boiler are constructed as a single unit. From the boiler the flue gases pass through a smoke filter, smoke suction and channel system through to the chimney.

The boiler features automatic ash removal with an outlet to an ash container.

The combined main-, monitor- and control panel is built with the most up to date PLC technology
to ensure maximum reliability, ease of operation and maximum fuel utilization
